Cooking with Claire Hahn ~ 2 Creative Collagen Recipes
In our eyes International award-winning Milliner + Mother, Claire Hahn, should be adding MasterChef to her list.
Here at Adashiko HQ Claire is well-known for her luscious locks which she attributes to her love of Collagen Ultra. At home she’s known + loved for sneaking collagen into almost every wholesome recipe she serves her family + friends.
Claire inspires us to get creative with our daily Adashiko Collagen intake.
Because when it comes to supplementing with collagen powders, consistency is key. And finding new ways to take your collagen means you're less likely to miss your daily dose.
But first, if you’re cooking with collagen you should always check it’s heat-stable.
Not every collagen is made the same. Some collagen powders lose their potential once things heat up in the kitchen. Here at Adashiko, we use the world’s finest peptide collagen. Adashiko Collagen is flavourless + odourless, with no unnecessary fillers or sweeteners. Fully dissolvable, heat-stable, + ready to mix into anything you fancy - coffee, tea, smoothies, juices, soups, baking, snacks or even a cheeky cocktail.
2 of Claire’s creative collagen-infused creations caught our eye recently.
She’s kindly passed on the recipes to share her Wonton Soup + Mint Syrup (to use in her twist on the classic Kentucky Mint Julep Cocktail) with you.
Claire’s Collagen-Infused Wonton Soup
SOUP INGREDIENTS
2 L Chicken Bone Broth or Stock
½ C Soy Sauce
Garlic (to your taste)
Salt + Pepper (to your taste)
3 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
Pinch of Chilli (if heat is your thing)
4-8 Tbsp. Adashiko Collagen Powder (your daily dose of collagen = 1 standard Tbsp. per serve / person)
WONTON INGREDIENTS
500g fatty Pork Mince
500g Chopped Prawn Meat
3 Cloves of Garlic
1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
½ Tsp. Ginger
1 Packet of Wonton Wrappers
WONTON METHOD
Place all wonton filling ingredients in a bowl + mix until fairly smooth, without turning the prawn into a paste.
Take a square wonton wrapper + use your index finger to dab the edges of the wrapper with water.
Place 1 - 2 tsp of filling in the middle of the wrapper + fold the wrapper in half to create a rectangle.
Hold the bottom corners of the rectangle (the filling side not the seam side) + dab one of the corners with a little water.
Bring the two corners together + squeeze to seal.
SOUP METHOD
Bring the first 6 soup ingredients to a boil in a large pot.
Add + dissolve 4-8 Tbsp. of Adashiko Collagen into the soup. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Lower in your prepared wontons + cook for 8-10 minutes or until they float to the top.
Portion your wontons into bowls + gently pour your soup over top.
Garnish with fresh chilli to serve.
